I embarked on a self discovery journey. I needed to understand the whole notion of purpose and what my purpose is. Growing up, I wasn’t like one of those kids that immediately knew what they wanted to be. And as the years went by, it didn’t get any clearer. I just let nature take its course and with heavy influence from my parents and environment, I followed a particular path.
After listening to a few motivational speakers and spiritual leaders, I realised I needed to take a step back and do some self discovery. Figure out who I am, who I want to be, and what I would like to do with my life. I also wanted to work on being a better person and changing the things I don’t like about myself. This is when the idea of the ‘The Third Voice’ came to me.
When I tried to understand why I was feeling the way I was, I discovered there was another voice in my head, nagging me, telling me there was more to life. So I decided to name it ‘The Third Voice.’
I knew for me to really commit to this self discovery journey, I had to share it. At first I had a lot of fear, what if people judge me? Or don’t think I am qualified to give advice. What if they start expecting perfection out of me, asking me to practise what I preach? I had to fight against this fear and insecurity within myself. I needed to do what I felt I had to do in order to become the person I wanted to be. I couldn’t let fear stop me from inspiring someone else to go on a self discovery journey.
I am now using my platforms to share my journey and hopefully, helping you to find your Third Voice.
