Should differences divide us?

We live in a time were people don’t associate with people who are different to them. Be it race, social class, religion, beauty, politics etc. We struggle to hear what the other side is saying. We can’t relate with their view-point. We have created boundaries to the point where we are protectionists. Growing up you are told not to hang around with people who don’t have the same belief as you. My question is, how can you grow as a person when you are always surrounded by people who think the same way as you do? How can you experience new things, be empathetic when you can’t relate to 3/4 of the world?

We were all made differently which means we all have something to offer. Don’t let differences divide us, let them make us stronger. Make them help you be more tolerant and widen your knowledge.
